Increasing levels of vitamin D in our body helps in weight loss. A recent study by American scientists showed that all obese people have low vitamin D levels and that those who take more vitamin through specific foods have better results when trying to lose weight.

This research was conducted for the National Public Health Institute, USA and presented at the annual meeting of the American Endocrine Society and, according to the findings for each unit increase in vitamin D in the blood of people who took part in the study represented a weight loss of 0.2 kg in addition to those lost because of diet, for a period of 11 weeks.

So, if you want to lose weight more easily add to your diet boiled eggs, pasta, fortified milk, salmon, sardines, herring, tuna and liver.
