In general diets with vegetables are considered healthy. Vegetarians need to carefully monitor the vitamins and minerals they consume in order to avoid instability.

These diets promote food, which not only are based on vegetables, but avoids the consumption of animal products. However, there are some variations. For example: The diet of vegetables and milk, includes dairy products. The diet with vegetables, eggs and milk, includes eggs and dairy products.

The forms of vegetarianism vary. There are vegetarians who eat eggs, vegetarians who eat fish, dairy products and eggs, and semi-vegetarians who consume limited amounts of white meat.

The diet of vegetables can also take the form of an "uncooked diet". All vegetables are eaten uncooked, thus maintaining their physical properties.

Vegetarians

- Permitted food: only those extracted from the earth. Ie vegetables, fruits, legumes, cereals, nuts and seeds.

- Forbiden food: all meat, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cream, butter or any other dairy product.

Vegetarians who consume milk

In this category are allowed the previous category, and also the consumption of dairy products.

Vegetarians who consume eggs and milk

All from previous category plus eggs.

The diet with vegetables encourage a more healthy diet. Consumption of meat in small quantities is the key to better health.

When applying a diet with vegetables, enjoy the healthy nutrients found in plants. Dietary fiber reduce the risk for cancer, heart disease and diabetes, and are present in all cereals, legumes, fruits, vegetables and nuts. Antioxidants such as vitamin C, E and carotene, protect cells from the damaging effects of chemicals currently found in all fruits and vegetables.

Conclusion

Even if not intended to be a vegetarian, meals in which there is no meat, but only include vegetables and fruits, are a healthy alternative. At least occasionally, such foods should be a conscious choice in our diet.
