Free from the headaches by identifying 12 reasons that you could not imagine that are responsible.

Reason 1: Your boss

Yes, he can actually cause your headaches. Anything that increases the levels of stress can make you more vulnerable to tension headaches or migraines. It is believed that tension headaches are caused by increased sensitivity of nerve pathways that transmit pain. During a migraine, brain signals cause the release of chemicals that alter the dilation of blood vessels. These signals trigger also inflammation in the brain that can lead to migraine .

Reason 2: The hot weather

When the temperature rises, so does the incidence of migraine or severe headache. In a recent study, researchers found an increase of 7.5% in the risk of headache for each 12C increase of the temperature. The low barometric pressure, which usually precedes the pain, was associated with a low sense of pain in the head.

Reason 3: Intense odor

The strong scents, even enjoyable, cause many headaches. It is not clear why this happens, but maybe odors activate the nervous system. The usual suspects are paint, dust, perfumes and certain types of flowers.

Reason 4: Hair accessories

How you fix your hair can affect your head. The tight ponytail can strain the connective tissue on the scalp, creating a headache. The sticks, the rubber bands and narrow hats are possible culprits. If this is the cause of your headache, you feel fast relief when you let your hair free.

Reason 5: Intensive exercise

The strenuous exercise, including sex, can lead to headaches due to intense effort. The physical burden caused by swelling of blood vessels in the head, neck and scalp, producing an increase in pressure.

Reason 6: Bad posture

No need to sweat to cause pressure on the head and neck muscles. So if you sit at your desk with a bad posture this might cause pain. Common forms of bad behavior is the arch of the shoulder, use the chair without a back, using the screen is positioned too high or too low and support the handset between ear and shoulder.

Reason 7: Cheese

One of the most common causes are outdated cheese, including blue cheese, brie, cheddar's, the slice of mozzarella, the parmesan and Swiss varieties. The culprit is a substance called tyramine (monoamine with Pressor properties), which is formed when certain types of proteins are broken. The more aged the more a food contains tyramine.

Reason 8: Red wine

The tyramine is also found in red wine and some spirits. Because alcohol increases blood flow to the brain, symptoms can be even more pronounced.

Reason 9: Sausage

Processed meats such as sausages, have two disadvantages. Often contain tyramine, and additives such as nitrate or nitric acid. These additives appear to increase blood flow to the brain in some people. The headaches caused by food additives usually affecting both sides of the head, in contrast to classical migraine, which affects only one side at a time.

Reason 10: Missing meals

If you miss a meal, your head can start to understand that it hurts before you're hungry. The problem is caused by a sudden drop in blood sugar. But do not try to heal such a headache with chocolate. Sweets cause a sharp increase in sugar which then falls even lower.

Reason 11: Smoking

It is known to cause headaches - and not only to the person who holds a cigarette. Even passive smoking delivers nicotine to passive smoking, which causes blood vessels in the brain. Stopping smoking or reducing exposure to secondhand smoke is particularly beneficial for patients with cluster headache. It is extremely painful headache on one side of the head that occurs periodically.

Reason 12: Caffeine

For those prone to headaches, caffeine match saying "we cannot not be together and we cannot be apart." When consumed in moderation, caffeine is often useful - indeed, found in many headache medications. However, consumption of excessive amounts of coffee can be a cause of headache. Also, if you are addicted to caffeine, abrupt discontinuation can make things worse, since the withdrawal effects of caffeine is still a cause of headache.
