1. Sleep properly

Inadequate sleep disrupts your hormone levels and steals your energy, so that your workout is not effective and your body always seek simple carbohydrates in order to regain its energy. A recent study by Stanford University showed that people who sleep less than 8 hours daily, differ from others by having more fat in their body, so be careful not to interrupt your dreams before 7-8 hours every night.

2. Take a break

Leave yourself a margin of 24 hours between visits to the gym and take a "day off" at least once a week. Usually, the body can withstand three or four times per week strength training. In several cases, even only two times per week can bring amazing results.

3. Feed you muscles

Many researches show that eating the proper ratio of carbohydrates and protein half an hour after the workout can repair any damage suffered by your muscles. Keep in mind that the correct ratio between carbohydrates and protein is 4 to 1.

4. "Listen" to your body

Ignoring the pain or tightness you feel in your muscles will only bring problems. If you feel pain, the best thing to do is to have a stretching break, or stop working out completely. And what is the best? Start and finish your exercise program always with stretch.

5. Massage problematic areas

The healing process often leaves a "knot" in your muscles that cause sharp pain. To soothe the pain at that area just massage it.
